CG-12 Condensation with Subcooling

Abstract:

This report describes open literature, HTRI, and HTFS methods for subcooling methods used in horizontal and vertical intube and shellside condensers. Predictions of Xist and UniSim^® Shell-Tube Exchanger Modeler (STE) are compared with relevant HTRI data. Additional testing is proposed to verify methods and potentially improve Xist methods for horizontal shellside baffled condensers with subcooling.
