TechTip: Modeling Plate-and-Shell Heat Exchangers using Xphe^®

This webinar briefly reviews HTRI research on plate-and-frame heat exchangers and plate-and-shell heat exchangers (PSHEs), focusing on the geometry differences and similarities between the two types. Xphe^® is a module in Xchanger Suite^® for modeling plate-and-frame heat exchangers. Using an example case, we will discuss how to use Xphe to model a PSHE. Additionally, we identify the key parameters for and limitations of modeling a PSHE using Xphe.
