Q15-1 Flow Boiling with Limited Vaporization

This article proposes including a two-phase heating contribution in the flow boiling method currently in HTRI Xchanger Suite® so that the default Convective+Nucleate boiling method works well for cases having a small increase in weight fraction vapor. The proposed change properly accounts for the nucleate boiling contribution in such cases. When the change in weight fraction vapor approaches zero, the modified method ensures a smooth transition to the limiting case of convective boiling.
