Q13-3 Heat Transfer for Horizontal Tubeside Condensation: Data versus Predictions

HTRI collected extensive horizontal tubeside condensation research data during the 1970s and more recently in 2007. Using these data, we evaluated the condensation heat transfer methods in Xist^® 6.0. Comparisons show that the current HTRI horizontal tubeside condensation method predicts heat transfer coefficients quite well over a wide range of flow regimes, test fluids, and operating conditions.
