We congratulate Fernando J. Aguirre on his election as a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). This highest grade of membership is achieved only through election by the AIChE Board of Directors.

As stated in the AIChE Bylaws, election as Fellow is in recognition of “service to the profession” and “significant professional accomplishment.” With a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Aguirre is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas and has over 35 years of academic and industrial experience. He has served AIChE in many capacities and is currently the Chair of the Management Division and Treasurer of the Dallas Local Section. In 2013, Aguirre was recognized by the AIChE Dallas Section as Engineer of the Year for professional accomplishments and AIChE service.
